A story we first reported on back in April of this year has a surprise twist. Super speeder Christopher Garza very brazenly expressed no concerned after going to jail for traveling at excessive speeds on a public road. As he told a reporter:
“I’ll deal with the consequences.” Garza to Fox News
Well, come to find out, he had intended on doing nothing of the sort. As reported by the Chicago Tribune, he was a no-show for his first scheduled court appearance, so obviously, he’s not quite ready to deal with the consequences of his actions.
Since he didn’t show up for court, we’re guessing a bench warrant will now be issued for his arrest, but that’s just based on how things work in most jurisdictions. If they have to go pick him up, things might get interesting, so watch the news for an upcoming Hellcat chase! We jest, but we will be watching this story for more updates. Check out the original story below:
Christopher Garza was taken to jail and had his $65,000 Hellcat impounded over speeding, but it was all worth it, according to him.
The 30-year-old from Chicago was taking his friend out in his 707 horsepower Challenger to show it off. He drove through a speed trap at 158 miles per hour around 1:30 AM, and he knew he was done for when he spotted the State Trooper.
After he was pulled over, he explained to the officer that he friend is a wounded vet and wanted to cheer him up with a highway pull, but that wasn’t a good enough excuse. Garza was arrested, released on bail, and is currently awaiting trial.
