TX2K announced Summit Racing Equipment will become the presented by partner for the TX2K19 Roll Race Nationals held on March 14-15, at Houston Raceway Park Powered by Pennzoil.
The TX2K19 Roll Race Nationals kicks off the high horsepower competition with over 250 of the world’s fastest GT-Rs, Lamborghinis, Supras, Porsches, Corvettes, Mustangs, and more that will duel for the coveted TX2K Championship trophy.
To participate in roll racing, street cars need to run on a DOT approved tire.
Cars will be paired in the staging lanes and leave the start line when given the signal. Both cars will pace each other for the first 400 feet before entering the “green zone.” Cars will race for 1,600 feet and have 2,200 feet to slow down after crossing the finish line before reaching the end of the track. Total length including pacing area, racing area and shutdown is 4,400 feet. The first car to the finish line wins.
Qualifying begins Thursday, March 14th. The top qualifiers will compete during eliminations on Friday, March 15th, with final round eliminations taking place under the lights Friday evening.
