SPA Turbo has designed and manufactured a twin-scroll exhaust manifold for the Toyota 2JZGE that combines the individual exhaust runners of a header with the durability of a cast iron manifold.
The 2JZGE, a 24-valve, inline six that was available normally aspirated and as a twin, sequentially staged turbo in the Toyota Supra GTE, was a notable high performance engine, but finding the hot turbocharged version is becoming difficult in today’s market.
SPA Turbo has come to the rescue with the release of this new manifold. It offers the improved flow and tuned length of an individual header that merges into a twin scroll so as to provide enhanced turbo response and performance.
SPA has also reworked the intake side of the engine with a cast aluminum intake manifold with a huge plenum with individual internal stacks. The added runner length is strong enough to handle extreme levels of boost without cracking while at the same time improving performance and driveability when not in boost
The throttle body has a Ford Mustang bolt pattern and will accept up to 105mm throttle bodies. SPA offers the manifold set up for 6 or 12 injectors.
Also available is SPA’s new twin-scroll turbo that comes complete with the additional fuel components to allow for turbocharging a normally aspirated turbo 2JZGE. They also represent a significant upgrade for turbocharged 2JZGEs.
