Ferrari just recently took wraps off its latest creation, the SP38 Deborah– and, man, is she pretty. Thanks to the internet, the news actually leaked online just before the official public reveal at last weekend’s Concorso d’Eleganza Villa d’Este.

The one-off car was requested by a “long-time customer,” that Ferrari explained has a “deep passion for racing,” whom is rumored to be young Swiss Ferrari dealer and Ferrari race team owner, Ronnie Kessel.

Although the original inspiration for the project was the legendary Ferrari F40, the final product is heavily based off the chassis of the 488 GTB. While the end result definitely resembles the 488 GTB overall, this SP38 is on a whole new level, and has plenty of features that take it over the top (but, in a good way). The car’s multiple carbon fiber body parts are accented with a streamline nose similar to that of the 308GTB, as well as a few aspects brought from the F40– such as the engine cover, rear wing, and that drop dead gorgeous, classic paint color. Drool.

Ferrari didn’t release any details regarding the vehicle’s aerodynamics and/or how much they were altered, but luckily for us people of the internet, almost immediately after the public event reveal, a video of the SP38 surfaced showing us the 710-horsepower, 3.8-liter twin-turbo V8 that is chilling under those attractive slats.

In short, we are more than pleased with the final result brought from this combination (even though we think it kind of looks like a Huracan), and are a little sad that that this combination will only ever be on one car – but, hopefully, at least a couple of these badass design cues can make it into a future production Ferrari.
