Livernois Motorsports has introduced a new pair of rocker bar systems for 5.7-, 6.1- and 6.4-liter Hemi engines. Called Powerstorm Hemi Rocker Bar Systems, these beautifully machined parts increase valvetrain stability for the engines, which support tuning and engine enhancements that increase engine speed. One system is designed specifically for 5.7-, and 6.1-, and the other for 6.4-liter engines.
Crafted from extruded round 6061 aluminum and CNC-machined billet 6061 aluminum, the systems help stabilize the unique Hemi valvetrain at higher rpms, enhancing both durability and promoting reduced friction – both essential for tuned engine combinations and power boosters such as forced induction or nitrous oxide. These components are bolt-ons that easily replace the engines’ original rocker bars.
“A HEMI engine is designed to produce serious horsepower and torque, which can impact the stability of the valvetrain.” Remarked Tom Millen, General Manager for Livernois Motorsports. “At Livernois, we created our Powerstorm Chrysler HEMI Rocker Bar Systems to increase that stability which then allows for drivers to achieve higher speeds with greater safety. We were first to market with these systems nearly ten years ago, and they’re still a popular product.”
The kits include include upgraded billet aluminum rocker bars, rocker bar shafts, ARP bolts, shaft washers, shaft collars and adjustable clamps for setting the rocker position. The shafts are manufactured from 4130 chromoly steel and feature increased wall thickness for greater strength. Together, each system weighs about 15-pounds, shaving three pounds from the stock systems.
Livernois offers the rocker bar systems individually, but will assemble them into a complete cylinder head as well upon request. Installation is then available at the Livernois’ Michigan facility.
