The Jeep Grand Cherokee Trackhawk is one of the most talked about SUVs, ever. This model offers big horsepower, packaged in a luxury SUV. Even with the 707-horsepower Hellcat engine, could it possibly stand a chance up against the even more powerful 800-horsepower Hennessey Performance Cadillac Escalade?
If you’ll recall, the Hennessey Performance Cadillac SUV has been taking out a few different performance cars over the recent weeks. It absolutely whipped a Chevy Camaro ZL1 in a straight-line race already, so one would assume it would have no problem adding the Trackhawk as another notch on its victory belt. After all, it does carry nearly 100 more horsepower than the Jeep super SUV. It seems like an unfair fight for the Trackhawk.
Here’s the twist though, the Trackhawk actually does win, even with the Cadillac grabbing a jump on the Jeep off the line. Even though Hennessey has thrown all kinds of go-fast parts at the Caddy, the Trackhawk comes with a supercharged big liter engine, weighs less, and has AWD. It’s actually the all-wheel-drive system that has given the Trackhawk a serious edge against many other worthy competitors, including the Challenger Hellcat itself.
There’s also something to be said for the fact that the Trackhawk won this race in its stock form, and the Cadillac is heavily modded by the well-known performance builders. This proves that the Jeep Grand Cherokee Trackhawk is a real monster, and king of the SUVs!
We won’t ruin the whole race for you, even knowing the outcome, this is a really tight race and worth a watch.
