The Carlisle Chrysler Nationals, held this past weekend in Pennsylvania, has been hailed as an unparalleled success. With amazing weather, the largest field of vehicles in the show’s history, and an unmatched parts-swap area, the 2018 iteration of the event raised the bar and set the standard for future Chrysler events at the Carlisle Fairgrounds.
A record setting 2,752 show cars graced the field spanning the entirety of Mopar production history, and a star-studded cast of guests, that included famous cars like the fabled Hemi Under Glass, and celebrities like Bob Riggle, Herb McCandless, Dave Rea of Velocity TV, and Miss Hurst Golden Shifter Lina Vaughn, were in attendance.
Many special vehicle displays were on hand. Building T celebrated the 50 Years of the Super Bee and Road Runner, Building Y hosted some of the best 340 engine based cars anyone has ever seen, and the nearby Carlisle Expo Center hosted the 2nd Hurst Nationals with close to 100 Hurst Prepared and Hurst equipped cars.
Added to the mix was a host of fascinating seminars focused on everything from how to get your ride featured in a magazine, to value trends of the Super Bee and Road Runner, and restoration tips and techniques.
If you missed the event, be sure to make it to next years. Given its track record, it’s bound to be even better.
