Performance piston ring manufacturer Total Seal has partnered with Driven Racing Oil to develop a new series of high performance break-in oils and lubricants. These unique lubricants provide the highest levels of zinc and phosphorus for optimum ring seating during that critical initial break-in period. If you expect maximum performance and prolonged ring life, you have to make sure you break-in your engine right.
Total Seal’s new formulations feature petroleum oil to provide the highest levels of zinc and phosphorus. The additive package promotes superior ring seating while providing maximum protection during initial break-in and requires no additional additives. They are also all compatible with methanol and high-octane race fuels.
Total Seal already has several formulations available. They include BR10 Break-In Oil, Exclusively Formulated for TOTAL SEAL, with a viscosity typical of SAE 0W-10; BR 30 Break-In Oil with a viscosity typical of SAE 5W-30; BR Break-In Oil with a viscosity typical of SAE 15W-50; and Total Seal Assembly Lube.
The Assembly Lube provides a tenacious yet fluid film to protect reciprocating and rotating components during assembly and initial break-in.
