Brunnhoelzl Captures Caraway Win-Ties Miller Atop SoMod All-Time Wins List

ASHEBORO, N.C. – George Brunnhoelzl III withstood three attempts at a green-white-checkered finish and hung on to win the Parking Lot Maintenance Headquarters 150 in NASCAR Whelen Southern Modified Tour action on Saturday at Caraway Speedway.

Brunnhoelzl, the two-time Tour champion out of West Babylon, N.Y., dominated the day. He posted the fastest time in practice and set a new track record in qualifying before going out and leading a race-high 140 laps en route to his second victory of the season. Right Where He Left Off – Brunnhoelzl Wins Again At Caraway

ASHEBORO, N.C. – George Brunnhoelzl III opened the 2012 season just like he finished the 2011 season during his NASCAR Whelen Southern Modified Tour championship run – with a win at Caraway Speedway on Saturday night.

Although Brunnhoelzl started from the pole and led every lap it wasn’t easy, as he had to hold off Jason Myers on the final lap to win by just .236 seconds for his 12th career win and sixth at Caraway Speedway.
