Smart Power Backup
The Racepak V300 and V500 series data recorders are the mainstay of the sportsman racing market. The new Smart Power Battery Backup units are designed for use with the Racepak V300 and V500 series data recorders, and mount directly underneath the data recorder without modifications. The battery ensures an uninterrupted power source in the event of accidental power loss to the recorder.
More than just a reserve power supply, the Power Backup contains a microprocessor capable of determining when the vehicle is running, then supplying 20 seconds of reserve voltage when loss of external power is detected. In the event of an accident, the ability to continue to log data after the point of impact is critical, and these battery backups make it possible.
Standalone GPS V-Net Module
Now, users of Racepak’s popular display dashes, like the IQ3 and UDX, as well as any non-GPS equipped Racepak V-Net data recorder can add vehicle speed function through the use of Racepak’s GPS V-Net module. Utilizing a standard V-Net tee connector and a small roof-mounted antenna, this plug-and-play module eliminates the need to install and calibrate a wheel speed sensor and records altitude and GPS time as well. The module also activates the odometer function on equipped Racepak display dashes. Samples at 18 hz for precise speed measurement.
