ARP, the world leader in fastener technology, has just released a new Pro Series rocker arm stud kit for Small Block Chrysler 318-360 Magnum V8 applications equipped with OEM-style non-adjustable rocker arms. Part No. 144-7201 includes a set of 16 8740 chromemoly studs, 16 parallel ground washers and 16 8740 chromemoly steel 12-point nuts that replace the OEM-style rocker arm hold-down bolts.

All Pro Series studs are centerless ground, heat treated prior to thread rolling and machining, and are nominally rated at 200,000 psi. Optimum design, enhanced reliability and increased strength are the main attributes of ARP’s Pro Series rocker arm stud kits.

The tread of the new Camber Drag Radial from M&H Dragmaster Tires has two degrees of camber built into it.

The new M&H Camber Radial Drag tire features two degrees of camber built into the tread profile. Yes, the tread profile actually has camber built into itself! This is designed for modern performance cars equipped with an independent rear suspension to help work through traction and wheel hop issues. As the suspension compresses camber is altered. This tire’s cambered tread profile allows the contact patch to be completely flat when the suspension compresses, a never-before-seen approach.

The engineers at M&H have done extensive testing to ensure the tires are safe, and perform better than a standard drag radial tire. The end result is a DOT-approved drag tire that significantly increases traction, while offering superior vehicle stability, even tread wear, longer tire life and reduced rolling resistance. These tires were initially designed for drag racing, but also work well on autocross cars, as well as full road race cars, where extreme camber settings are generally used.

Available sizing for the initial run of M&H Camber Radial Drag tires is 245/45R17 and 245/40R18, but more sizes are in the works. If you are looking for a solid performance cooling solution for your 1987-’01 Jeep Cherokee (XJ), this new radiator and fan combination from Flex-a-lite is a winner. The radiator and fan replaces the stock cooling system without any drilling or modifications to your vehicle. The Flex-a-fit aluminum radiator is a 2-row, all-aluminum core that is hand-welded to patented sidetanks with “T” channels to dissipate heat more efficiently. Included is a Flex-a-lite variable speed controller that starts the fans at 60 percent power and increases the fan speed as temperatures rise. The Painless Phantom Key allows for the total replacement of most current ignition switches. Simply remove your existing ignition switch, install the backlit stainless pushbutton and allow the Phantom Key’s Module/Relay center do all the work for you.

Plus it adds options such as a trunk popper channel, door lock and unlock, dome light on and off along with the added security of not having any key tumblers for a thief to pick.

When you are more than 20 feet away from your vehicle, the LED backlit push button switch will blink showing there is a security device in the vehicle, warding off potential thieves. When you are within 20 feet of your vehicle, the blinking LED will turn solid. Push the unlock button on the key fob to unlock your doors, climb into the vehicle, push the brake pedal and finally push and hold stainless Phantom Key button to start the engine.

The key fobs have both lock and unlock buttons and can be programmed to be in what’s called “automatic mode” which is where the system will automatically enable when the fob is within about 20 feet of the vehicle OR they can be programmed where the unlock key must be pushed to enable the system.
