Three Dodge Demons Burned to Cinders During Transportation

If you are faint of heart, then look away now! A trio of brand new Dodge Challenger SRT Demons were consumed by flames in a vicious fire while they were being shipped to their new owners.

These 840-horsepower muscle cars, two red and one yellow, were secured on a Reliable Carriers transport trailer in Michigan when the fire started. The cause of the fire is under a forensic investigation, so there’s no real determination on what started the seemingly random blaze.

The fires left the owners on edge and wondering if the Demons would be replaced, or if they were going to be left with bad luck and a refund. After all, Dodge had already announced that the production of the Demon would be limited to only 3,300 units for all of North America — so are three buyers not getting a car now?

FCA isn’t going to leave their customers hanging, and have announced that they will still be delivering 3,300 Demons, and adding three new VINs to replace the burned vehicles instead.

In an even more surprising move by FCA, Tim Kuniskis, Head of Passenger Car Brands (AKA the Dodge Boss), has reportedly reached out to the owners individually to reassure them that they will be cared for after the incident.

One of the new buyers has come forward on Hellcat.org under the name Demon221 to say:

“I just got a call from Tim Kuniskis, and it was not to tell me how great my red Demon looked. My car #221 is one of the two redline cars in the pictures. Burnt to a crisp!! Totally destroyed!!! My Demon was built on Friday the 13th and burnt up on Halloween. He called to let me know the 3 cars that went up in flames are going to be quickly rebuilt. He also informed me that the once a VIN number is created it cannot be duplicated again. The good news is the cars that burnt are all getting lower VIP numbers. My new number is #102. I actually think this turned out to be a great story! I was shaking when I got off the phone with him but I am really excited about the story I can tell with my demon. Tim also wanted me to let everyone know the fire was caused by the car transporter, not the cars. He assured me there are no problems with the demons fuel system and asked if I would pass that info on.”

FCA has confirmed that Kuniskis has reached out to the three owners, so they are definitely going way above and beyond to take care of their customers!
