Even though we’re not going to get the full details on the new Dodge Demon until the New York Auto Show in April, some of the information about the Dodge Demon is making its way into the public realm. We’ve already established that Demon will outperform the Hellcat, but we’ve learned a little more.
For one, Dodge has been boating the Demon will weigh 200 pounds less than the Hellcat. Apparently, 113 pounds of that weight savings will come from losing the front and rear passenger seating.
Otherwise, we know that it will sport fat 18×11” wheels on all four corners, with 315/40R18 Nitto NT05R drag racing radials. This chunky wheel/tire combo will add some weight back in, not to mention that the it is 3.5” wider and has fender flares.
Dropping the passenger seats seems extremely risky. The Challenger is a big ass car, having the extra interior room has always been a selling point over the Corvette, Viper, even Camaro, so who is going to pick a one-seater with a high-price point over some of the other super performers on the market? Time will tell…
