Noted automotive media personality and journalist Richard Holdener has recently signed on as a technical editor at the Xceleration Media Group, where his passion for dyno testing and all things performance will be utilized across the Xceleration portfolio of print and digital properties.
Holdener has devoted the last 25 years of his life to the automotive industry. He has penned over 2,000 articles for magazines including Hot Rod, Car Craft and Super Chevy, as well as nine books for Cartech/SA Design and HP Books. His thoroughness is well documented, as he once swapped 28 different cams on an LS engine. That is not out of the ordinary for Holdener, but rather standard procedure as he throws himself into a project. Due in no small part to his extensive dyno testing, Holdener has set numerous land speed records at Bonneville, El Mirage and the Maxton Mile, and has captured a USTCC road race championship.
With the addition of Holdener, Xceleration Media has assembled arguably the most experienced and highly acclaimed technical editorial staff in the country. He joins a group of talented individuals that already includes Jeff Smith, Jeff Huneycutt and John DiBartolomeo, all of whom are household names in the hardcore technical world. Holdener’s articles and videos will be heavily utilized by the tech-focused Power & Performance News, but will also appear as part of each Xceleration title including OneDirt, Drag Racing Scene, Street Rod Life and Gearheads4Life.
“It’s an honor to join the talented team that Xceleration Media has established,” Holdener said. “I live for dyno testing and telling performance stories. Being a part of a company that puts so much emphasis on hardcore technical content is a perfect fit.”
