In the most boss move we’ve ever seen, a Jeep Grand Cherokee Trackhawk just proved that it has a pretty big set of…uh…wheels, by towing a Dodge Challenger Hellcat to the dragstrip, then whipping its ass.
Dodge has not held back a bit when it comes to the design and power of the Jeep Trackhawk. While they seem to be far too happy throwing the supercharged 6.2-liter V8 engine into just about anything, the Grand Cherokee has been the story of the year, at least when it comes to the Hellcat. We admit it, we were very skeptical at first, but come to find out, it was actually a really idea to throw the powertrain into a SUV.
One of the biggest complaints people have had about the Dodge Challenger Hellcat is that it can’t grip off the line, and it seems like tossing the powertrain into an AWD vehicle was just the solution. We’ve already seen the Trackhawk walk away from other muscle cars, and even other Hellcats, but this one is just showing off. But there’s also one more thing about the Trackhawk to keep in mind, it’s a fully capable SUV.
The 707-horsepower Grand Cherokee wants to remind you of this by picking up its opponent, and carrying them to the track for them. In a show of brawn and skill, the Trackhawk doesn’t even come close to reaching its 7,200-pound trailing capacity with the 4,400-pound Dodge Challenger Hellcat. After showing what the Challenger can’t do, it took it down on the track as well!
