The Dodge Demon was definitely one of the most talked about cars in the first half of 2017, and Dodge might be rinsing and repeating their marketing success. Now Fiat, Dodge’s parent company, has filed for a trademark on the name “Angel”, so let the wild speculation begin!
Dodge should get an award (and they may have) for their ability to a hype a car. Their marketing campaign for the Demon was pure genius. Even those who weren’t particularly invested in the Dodge name we’re hooked in no time after they started running ads. Everyone was trying to decode their cryptic messages, and everyone had an opinion, good or bad. Now that we know everything there is to know about it, don’t expect people to stop talking about it anytime soon…however, Dodge has figured out a formula that works, and it looks like they are going to keep the momentum going.
So what are we to expect? Anything, anything at all, we know nothing right now. What do we want? Another up model from the Demon. Will we get it, not a chance. What’s more likely is a hybrid model of some kind, or a downline model from the Demon. Since the name is opposite of Demon, it’s got to have some relation to the model.
Until Dodge gives us some hints, we’ll just hope for leaks until then.
