If you’re looking for a collector’s car, the 2018 Corvette might be one of the most limited year models in history. Shy of skipped years, it’s going to be the very difficult to find a 2018 Corvette in a few years, and that’s because Chevrolet is only throwing into production for four months.

After their Bowling Green, KY went offline in August of this year, that didn’t leave much time for the Corvette plant to get back up and rolling. Production for the 2018 Corvette will begin in November, but it will only extended into the middle of January, and then 2019 production begins a week later.

Two very significant Corvettes are on the horizon, and 2019 could be a great year. The hope is that the ZR1 will finally show up as a 2019 year model, and if Chevy is feeling extra generous, the mid-engine Corvette could show up too. If those things happened, we could definitely overlook the limited production of the 2018 year model.
