Editor’s Pick: Best Late Model Muscle Cars of SEMA 2017

SEMA 2017 is all about new products, it’s also a great opportunity to check out what people have been able to do to cars using said products. While we were at the latest show, we saw some seriously impressive builds, and took note! Check out some of the coolest builds at SEMA 2017, in no particular order because we love them all.

Bisimoto’s 700-Horsepower Dodge Viper at the NGK Booth

Okay, we said we loved them all, but we might love this one just a tad bit more. This 2014 Dodge Viper GTS featured parts sourced from some of the best automotive aftermarket brands out there, but as you’ll note by the 700-horsepower figure, the engine is still N/A. Fifteen52 Sprint GT 3-piece wheels cover all four corners, and there’s a bit of aero-flare on the rocker panels.

ARH Hellcat Powered Prius

We talked about this build in depth here, but to summarize, this Prius is powered by a Hellcat engine. The rest of the car has been heavily modified to handle the hefty powertrain that was never meant to go into a Prius.

aFe Control’s Track Dominating C7 Corvette

aFe Control is hitting the C7 Corvette market hard with new products to improve suspension and handling. Their sleek display car demonstrates the best of horsepower and handling — a race winning combination!

840-Horsepower Dodge Charger Hellcat Hanging Out at the Injen Booth

This is a car that will leave you in the dust, and you won’t even be mad about it. With the Injen airbox, some bigger injectors, and tuning, this little modern muscle car is making 840-horsepower and running high 10s in the 1/4 mile.

6LE Design’s Modern Take on the IROC-Z

Mark, the owner of 6LE Designs, was getting a little tired of hearing rumors about the return of the IROC-Z that never turned out to be true, so he took matters into his own hands! This blown sixth-gen has been totally made over to reflect what a modern IROC-Z might look like if GM actually ever did decide to make one. Read more about the inspiration behind the build, and details here.

Magnuson’s TV 2650 Powered 2016 Camaro SS

It’s not often that you see a big fat blower sticking out of the hood of a modern muscle car, that’s more of a pre-80s trend, but Magnuson went big on this build! This monster of a car is powered by 416 stroker engine with Livernois ported heads and cam, twin 90mm ported throttle bodies, ARH headers, and the Magnuson TVS 2650 Supercharger.
