The Dodge Challenger has earned its place in the hearts of many American drivers as it holds some of the top performing vehicles in the world. Featuring both the Hellcat and the Demon, the Dodge Challenger line is doing its part to make America fast again, but those aren’t the only trim lines that will be available heading into the new year. Dodge will be offering its Challenger in 16 trims, so there’s something in their Challenger line for everyone.
At the bottom of the line is the 3.6L Pentastar V6 Challenger models that make 305 horsepower and 268 lbs-ft of torque. This comes with a standard 8-speed automatic. This is available as the SXT, SXT Plus, and GT.
The first V8 option of the trim models is the 5.7L Hemi V8 that puts out 375-horsepower and 410 lbs-ft of torque, available with either a 6-speed manual or 8-speed automatic transmission. This engine will show up in six trim lines starting from the R/T, R/T Plus, R/T Shaker, R/T Plus Shaker, T/A, and T/A Plus.
Things start to get more powerful with the 6.4L Hemi V8, a 392 cubic inch inch that makes a whopping 485 horsepower and 475 lbs-ft of torque. This is backed by a standard manual transmission, while an 8-speed automatic is optional on all models with this engine. This will be found in the R/T Scat Pack, Scat Pack Shaker, Challenger T/A 392, and Challenger SRT 392.
The supercharged 6.2L Hemi V8 is the top of the line engine, and will be the powerplant for three of the premium trimlines, including the Hellcat, Hellcat Widebody, and Demon.
