TCI® rebuilding service available for performance transmissions and torque converters
Is your torque converter delivering its maximum performance? Do you have to slow down your quarter mile “dial in” because your racecar just isn’t hitting the number, and you just can’t find the problem? Maybe it’s the transmission. Here’s the best way to make certain you are getting the most from your drivetrain components: send it to TCI® for a check-up.
While many racers can diagnose and repair an engine in record time, knowing what goes on inside that mysterious transmission case is well beyond many car builders’ realm of expertise. TCI® offers a complete repair and rebuild service for performance transmissions and torque converters. This rebuild service is available for any high performance transmission or torque converter, regardless of brand, and is performed right along side the assembly area where TCI® builds their new high performance units. Transmissions and torque converters can be rebuilt to one of four TCI® standards: the TCI® Maximizer™, Street Rodder, StreetFighter® or Full Competition. TCI® will not rebuild a transmission to OEM specifications.
The TCI® rebuild service (check out our website at
www.tciauto.com, and click on repair services) begins with a thorough inspection of your parts. Once the inspection is concluded, a TCI® technician will contact you to explain their findings and discuss repair options. A basic freshen-up may be all that is needed and details of that work will be relayed to you before any work is completed. The unit will be triple-tested, standard practice with all TCI® products, and returned to you along with a clean bill of health report from our new AxiLine computer transmission dyno.
If your transmission components need repair, TCI® personnel will offer up a proper course of action and suggest replacement parts (no work is performed without approval by the customer). If the components sent to TCI® for rebuild or repair are incorrect for your application, you’ll be notified of that fact as well. No aftermarket drivetrain company is better qualified to recommend the right parts for your vehicle than the highly qualified engineers at TCI®.
So the next time you make a run down the track and your time slip just doesn’t seem up to par, maybe it’s time to think about a check-up for your transmission and torque converter. Better yet, if it’s been more than two years since your torque converter or transmission has been inspected, they’re due. Restore that lost performance and durability. Know where you stand with a check-up from TCI®.
