Horsepower was the central point of the 2015 Street Machine Nationals as rods cruised around the Du Quoin State Fairgrounds with blowers whining and the trumpeting of open headers filling the air. After a 13 year hiatus the Street Machine Nationals made a triumphant, yet muted, return to Du Quoin in 2013 with a ban on cruising at night. After the city of Du Quoin saw that times had indeed changed since the raucous glory years, they decided to lift that ban in 2014, which helped improve the number of registrants significantly.
Now in 2015, Street Machine Nationals Du Quoin is making even more leaps toward the throne it so painfully gave up many years ago. Below is a gallery of all the the cool things that went down at this years Street Machine Nationals! There was a burnout competition, dyno challenge, Miss Street Machine Contest, and The Legends of Pro Street (Top Builders from the past SMN) were in attendance.
