Every year lots of great, custom-built cars are unveiled at the SEMA show, and this year is no different. But one car that seems to be getting the most buzz is the ’66 Chevy Chevelle named “Recoil” that was built by the Ring Brothers.
The car is built with striking attention to detail throughout. One of the most daring choices is to go with a tan as the major color for the car. The paint is actually a BASF water-borne paint called “Sand Storm,” but instead of making the car look like a boring beige Camry, it really seems to work. That’s especially true when you consider all the hand-laid carbon fiber details.
Powering the car is a 980 horsepower supercharged LS7 built by Wegner Motorsports with some sweet custom coil covers. Inside the seats are definitely interesting, but we wonder what they actually would feel like after a few miles behind the wheel.
We’ve put up a couple of photos of the car here, but for a full gallery you can hit this link. Hot Rod also has a good write-up on the car with all the technical specs, which you can see here. Try not to drool on your keyboard.
